UAE launches A new feature in WhatsApp that eliminates the need for the Internet

asmaa - | Technology News

The renowned WhatsApp messaging application is poised to introduce an innovative feature aimed at facilitating file exchange among users without the necessity of an active internet connection.

According to reports from the "WABetaInfo" website, this forthcoming feature is designed to empower users to share various media files seamlessly, even in the absence of internet connectivity. This means that users will have the ability to transmit videos and images to their contacts within the application, regardless of whether their own device or that of the recipient is connected to the internet.

Dubbed as "People Nearby," this novel feature operates by leveraging Bluetooth networks, akin to functionalities such as Fast Send on Android devices or AirDrop on Apple devices. To leverage this functionality, users will need to download the latest beta version of the WhatsApp application and grant permissions for accessing device files, location data, and Bluetooth functionality.

Preliminary details suggest that data transmission through this feature will be encrypted, ensuring the security and privacy of the exchanged content. Furthermore, the recipient's device will not display the sender's phone number, thus safeguarding user privacy.

In addition to this groundbreaking feature, recent reports have hinted at WhatsApp incorporating features reminiscent of those present in rival messaging platform Telegram. This includes the introduction of chat list filters, which are anticipated to assist users in categorizing their conversations into distinct groups, enhancing organizational efficiency within the application.

The integration of such innovative features underscores WhatsApp's commitment to enhancing user experience and expanding the utility of its platform beyond conventional messaging functionalities. As these developments unfold, users can anticipate a more versatile and feature-rich communication experience within the WhatsApp ecosystem.
