UAE announces the opening of registration for the Haj 2024 pilgrimage

The United Arab Emirates' General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (Awqaf) has formally invited potential pilgrims to join the Haj 2024 pilgrimage by launching the registration platform.

The first group of Muslims slated to visit the sacred sites in June 2024 is anticipated to touch down in Saudi Arabia in May. Due to the limited number of spaces, Awqaf urges pilgrims from the UAE to take advantage of the opportunity and register early.

Registration Guidelines for UAE Pilgrims

  1. Download the Awqaf UAE Smart App: Pilgrims are advised to install the latest version of the Awqaf UAE smart app on their devices.

  2. Access 'Haj Permit Service': Open the app and navigate to the 'Haj Permit Service' option to initiate the registration process.

  3. Login with UAE Pass: Pilgrims must log in using their UAE Pass, the digital ID system in the country.

  4. Follow Registration Procedures: Upon successful login, a'register' icon and a series of steps will appear. Pilgrims should tap on the'register' icon and follow the outlined procedures.

  5. Ensure Accuracy of Personal Details: It is crucial for pilgrims to verify and ensure the accuracy of all personal details during the registration process.

Haj Permits for Expatriates

Typically, only Emiratis are granted Haj visas. Expatriates need to adhere to the rules and regulations established by their native countries. A comprehensive list of certified travel providers who assist with the pilgrimage is available on the website of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments. These providers offer all-inclusive packages covering visa fees, lodging, transportation, and meals to facilitate a seamless Haj pilgrimage.

As the spiritual journey to the holy sites holds immense significance, prospective pilgrims are urged to promptly complete their registrations and make the necessary preparations for a meaningful and blessed Haj experience in 2024. The registration period is open until December 21, emphasizing the importance of early booking to secure a spot for this spiritually significant pilgrimage.
