The Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates announced the official date for the official end of school, in addition to the start date for the next new academic year for school students.

Summer vacation for school students

According to the school calendar for the current academic year (2023-2024), the beginning of summer vacation for students will be on the first of July of the following year. On the other hand, the beginning of summer vacation for educational, administrative, and technical personnel will get underway on the fifteenth of the same month.

In accordance with the schedule for the third semester of the calendar year that was published on the website of the Emirates Foundation for School Education, the final day of study for students will be the 14th of June, which coincides with the conclusion of the end-of-semester examinations. The study period for this semester is eleven weeks, which is equivalent to fifty-three school days.

End of third semester exams

Examinations are set to be administered to students at the conclusion of the third semester, which started on April 15th, for all classes in public and private schools that follow the curriculum established by the Ministry of Education. These examinations are slated to take place between June 5th and June 14th, and then again from June 15th to June 18th, due to the Eid al-Adha holiday. During the same month, the results will be examined, and then they will be made public on the fifth of July of the following year for all phases.

According to the programming that has been authorized, students who satisfy the requirements for applying will be given the opportunity to take repeat tests between the dates of July 8 and July 12. The results of the repeat exams will be assessed and distributed between July 13 and July 15.

There is a trial test scheduled for the third semester, which will take place between the dates of May 29 and June 4. Additionally, during the same time period, students will be taking examinations for topics that fall under the Group B category.

The beginning of the new school year

In addition, the next school year (2024-2025) will start on August 26 and will finish on June 27, 2025, with a total of 182 school days. This will be the beginning of the new academic year. According to the school calendar that was approved by the Council of Ministers for the three years beginning in 2023 and ending in 2025, the winter break will take place between the dates of December 16, 2024 and January 5, 2025, and the spring break will take place between March 24, 2025 and April 13, 2025. This is in accordance with the intention of establishing a time frame that specifies school days and official holidays, while also ensuring a margin of flexibility in application, in a manner that is suitable for the various educational systems that are in place across the nation. The nation.

The purpose of the evaluation is to ensure that private schools provide equal educational opportunities, to determine whether or not the number of school days is sufficient to achieve the desired learning outcomes, and to provide educational process partners from education agencies and institutions with the school calendar in order to ensure that the academic year is planned in the most effective manner possible.

Regardless of the curriculum that is being followed, the review emphasized how important it is for all public and private schools across the nation to adhere to the minimum number of school days prescribed by the government.
