During a visit to Terminals 1 and 2, Abdulaziz Al Duailej, the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), and Ayman Abu Ababa, CEO of Riyadh Airports, meticulously examined the newly established site, acquainting themselves with its features and advancements.
Expressing his vision for the duty-free market, Al Duailej urged retailers to diversify their offerings, emphasizing the importance of incorporating a wider range of international brands encompassing perfumes, electronics, and leather goods. This call for expansion and variety reflects the airport's commitment to providing an elevated shopping experience for travelers passing through its terminals.
The expanded duty-free marketplace boasts an impressive increase in leasable space, soaring from approximately 2,000 square meters to a substantial 4,700 square meters. Strategically situated within Terminal 3 of King Khalid International Airport, this upgraded retail hub promises to captivate travelers with its extensive array of products and brands, ensuring a delightful shopping experience for all.
Moreover, Terminal 3 isn't the only area undergoing enhancements; Terminals 1 and 2 are also undergoing significant upgrades. As part of the development project, two lounges are being constructed, and the overall passenger capacity is set to rise by 40%, from 10 million to an estimated 14 million passengers annually.
