Pilot programs for caregivers

The Home Support Caregiver Pilot Program and the Child Home Caregiver Pilot Program, both of which are greatly anticipated each year, provide participation in a limited number of possibilities. As soon as the entries are opened, these places do not last long before they are filled.

Both of the pilot projects had a maximum of 5,500 submissions spread out across a variety of categories in the year 2023. There has been a reduction in the number of months of experience required to be eligible for caregiver tracks in Canada, which was previously 24 months.

Two distinct categories are included in both of the caregiver pilot programs:

  • In the Gaining Experience Category, applicants who have little to no experience in occupations that are designated as 44100 or 44101 on a national level are eligible to apply.
  • The minimum amount of experience required for caretakers working within Canada is one year.
  • The Permanent Resident Category (PR) is reserved for applicants who have worked in vocations that fall within the NOC 44100 or NOC 44101 classification for a period of at least 24 months.
  • A minimum of one year of experience is required of caregivers working within the borders of Canada.

Those who meet the requirements are granted a work permit that allows them to gain twenty-four months of experience in Canada. Once they have satisfied the experience requirements, they are eligible to submit an application for direct permanent residency.

Self-employed program to immigrate to Canada

It is possible that the Canada Immigration for Self-Employed Program is the appropriate choice for you if you are self-employed or run your own business. Additionally, you must have relevant experience in the field of cultural or sporting activities. A minimum of two years of experience in either of these two sectors is required in order to qualify for any of these positions.
