The National Center of Meteorology in the United Arab Emirates revealed in an official statement through its official account on the x social media platform that a small earthquake occurred off the eastern coast of the United Arab Emirates today.

Residents reported an earthquake

An earthquake of a magnitude of 2.8 was recorded by locals off the coast of the United Arab Emirates early on Saturday morning, according to the National Center of Meteorology explanation.

It was reported by the center through its official account on the X website that the earthquake "was recorded on the coast of Khor Fakkan" at a depth of 5 kilometers, and that the earthquake took place around 3.03 am local time.

on its original assessment, the National Center of Meteorology stated that the earthquake was "felt by the population and did not have any impact in the Emirates." This statement was made with regard to the earthquake.

Earthquake damage

Despite the fact that earthquakes are uncommon in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), there was a comparable earthquake that happened in January of this year with a magnitude of 2.8. However, there has been no official declaration published as of yet regarding whether or not the earthquake caused any structural damage.

It is important to remember that the United Arab Emirates recently experienced disastrous floods as a consequence of unprecedented rainfall. These floods resulted in the loss of lives and caused extensive disruptions to travel.

An earthquake in the UAE was felt in several areas

The National Center of Meteorology in the United Arab Emirates said that the people of the Emirates were affected by an earthquake that occurred a few hours ago in one of the areas of the state. The earthquake was registered in one of the regions of the state. The people who live in the United Arab Emirates have claimed that there was a little stronger earthquake a few hours ago. It was determined that the magnitude of the earthquake reached on the Richter scale. The earthquake that happened at 11:01 p.m. tonight was around 2.8, and it was felt throughout the region.

A moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 2.8 on the Richter scale struck the United Arab Emirates late on Monday night, as reported by the National Center for Meteorology. This information comes from the National Center of Meteorology, which also reports that an earthquake took place in the Emirates, which was felt by the people who live there.

Life is disrupted in some areas

Record floods struck the United Arab Emirates on April 16, causing disruptions to daily life in a number of different regions. Several districts in Dubai, as well as cities in the north and other locations, were swamped by torrential floods. Reports from Reuters indicate that there were four fatalities.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Health of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a "limited number" of individuals exhibited symptoms that were associated with water contamination during the recent floods that the country experienced.

The statement issued by the ministry indicated that there were "a very limited number of cases that showed some symptoms of being affected by mixed water, and the necessary treatment was provided to them, their safety was ensured, and they were discharged from the hospital."
