The UAE announces a new visa and how to obtain it

According to the digital government, the UAE offers two different transit visa types: a 48-hour free visa and a 96-hour visa that costs just 50 dirhams.

In her report, she mentioned that only national airlines in the United Arab Emirates handle transit visas; visitors must apply for and receive a visa prior to traveling to the nation; also, the transit visa cannot be renewed or extended in either of its two forms.

Regarding who needs to apply for a transit visa, the report clarified that if you are a citizen of a country that is eligible for an entry visa upon arrival or if you are able to enter the UAE without a visa, you do not require one.

How to apply

Also, if your travel is arranged through a travel agency, the firm can assist you in obtaining a visa through the affiliated airline. Only national airlines operating in the United Arab Emirates are able to arrange for your transit visa prior to your departure.

Visa duration

There are two types of transit visas, and each has a distinct duration: 48 hours for one type and 96 hours for another. Just so you know, you are not able to extend a 48-hour transit visa to a 96-hour period.

48-hour visa

it noted that transit tourists traveling through the UAE on a continuous flight to another destination are granted a free 48-hour transit visa; additionally, in order to travel within the UAE, you must apply for a transit visa in advance of your arrival, coordinate with the airline, and have the visa valid 48 hours before entering the country; finally, the visitor must depart the UAE's territory within 48 hours of arriving.

The following things need to be in place in order to be granted a visa: Before visiting the United Arab Emirates, the passport or travel document must be valid for at least three months.

A personal photo with a white background must be submitted, the traveler must be departing from his home country and have a ticket to continue his journey.

96-hour visa

It was noted by her that transit tourists who are traveling through the country on a continuous flight to another destination are granted a transit visa, which is valid for 96 hours from the date of entry. Additionally, in order to travel within the United Arab Emirates, you must arrange your travel plans in advance with the airlines and submit an application for a transit visa before arriving in the country.

The passport or travel document must be valid for at least six months prior to entering the United Arab Emirates; a white background photo must be submitted; the traveler must have a ticket to continue his trip; and the traveler must be going to a different country than his home country in order to be granted a visa.
