Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has taken a groundbreaking step by launching its innovative smart app on Apple Vision Pro glasses, thereby pioneering utility services through augmented and virtual reality technologies.

This move signifies DEWA's commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance customer experiences and foster smart adoption across various digital platforms.

The integration of DEWA's services with Apple Vision Pro harnesses a myriad of capabilities and functionalities, offering customers an array of conveniences. Users can seamlessly access the app via multiple authentication methods, including UAE Pass, username and password, or eyeprint authentication. Once logged in, customers can effortlessly navigate through their accounts, selecting specific accounts for inquiries and utilizing the virtual touch and drag feature to visualize data.

Moreover, the app empowers users to review detailed billing information and conveniently settle payments through Apple Pay. Additionally, customers gain access to the Smart Living dashboard, enabling them to monitor their energy consumption patterns and compare them with those of similar households through the My Sustainable Living Programme. Furthermore, personalized insights and tips are provided to enhance consumption efficiency, tailored to each customer's individual footprint.

DEWA's relentless pursuit of digital transformation has yielded remarkable results, with digital transactions surging to 12.5 million in 2023, a 25% increase compared to the previous year. Notably, DEWA's advanced digital infrastructure has propelled smart adoption rates to an impressive 99.2%, reaffirming its pivotal role in realizing Dubai's vision of becoming the smartest and happiest city globally.

The surge in digital transactions underscores DEWA's proactive approach to meeting customer needs, with over 2.1 million transactions conducted via the website, 3.2 million through DEWA's smart app, and more than 6.8 million transactions facilitated through various digital channels in collaboration with partners. This concerted effort underscores DEWA's commitment to delivering exceptional services and driving digital innovation to enrich the lives of its customers.
