Brigadier Mohammed Al Buraik Al Ameri, the Director of the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Directorate in the Central Operations Sector, emphasized Abu Dhabi Police's commitment to endorsing environmental initiatives and supporting bicycle enthusiasts. The focus is on educating drivers to avoid traffic violations associated with obscured vehicle plates.

Legal Consequences for Violations

Highlighting Article No. 27(b) of Ministerial Resolution No. 178 of 2017, which outlines traffic control rules and procedures, Brigadier Al Ameri clarified that the penalty for actions leading to "unclear vehicle plate numbers" is a fine of 400 dirhams.

As Abu Dhabi Police is dedicated to intensifying traffic monitoring and taking legal action against any non-compliance with displaying clear plate numbers. This aligns with the provisions of the Federal Traffic Law.
