On Thursday, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) reminded locals that they can scan their driving licenses and store them in their Apple wallets.
The majority of drivers in the city do, in fact, maintain a picture of their driver's licenses stored on their mobile devices, while others store the digital cards themselves in their various folders. In the event that their licenses are misplaced or stolen, the majority of people keep a copy of their licenses in their homes in this manner.
The addition of a digital card to the iPhone wallet, on the other hand, makes gaining access much simpler. To open the e-wallet on an iPhone, one will only need to double-click the side button. Once the e-wallet is open, the license will appear alongside the other cards in the wallet.
How to add licenses to the iPhone feature
Install the RTA app on your device and launch it.
- If this is your first time using the app, you will need to create an account and link your traffic files (such as your driver's license or car license) to the app before you can start using it.
- You will notice five buttons/icons at the bottom of the app's home screen. Select the one that says "My Docs" to access your saved documents.
- The next step is to select the "My License" link, which will lead you to a digital copy of the card.
- There is a large button that reads "Add to Apple Wallet" that may be found directly below the card. If you select this option, your license will be placed in your digital wallet immediately after you click it.
In addition to the driver's license, you can also do the same thing with the license for your motor vehicle. However, at the time, only people who use Apple products can take advantage of this capability.
